At the age of 9 Laura started playing percussion. she started with the Caja Vallenata but then she leaned more towards the instrument of the Guacharaca. When Laura turned 11 she started focusing on singing. Laura composed her first song at the age of 12, titled 'You Know I Love You'. As a bilingual, she thought about how fundamental it is to be able to sing in both languages such as English (the universal language) and Spanish. From a very young age, her passion for acting began when she watched Colombian and Mexican soap operas and Hollywood movies. Laura has been invited to participate in music videos, short films, dances, productions and theatre plays. Laura worked with the former member of Doritos Mariachi and accompanied his musical band for two years as a lead voice singing mariachi and music in English.
In 2012, together with her brother created 'Los Arias Bros Vallenato UK Exponents' a Vallenato band focused on highlighting Vallenato folklore in London, the United Kingdom and Europe. In 2017, 'Passidion', a fusion band emerges from the 'HalleHim Productions' association with the aim of innovating a new sound and fusing different styles to create new music and original songs. Separately, we also created a Mariachi group called“LOS MARIACHI BROS” where we give concerts in Europe singing traditional Mexican music and also sing English songs in mariachi style to please both audiences.
In 2018 the fusion group 'Passidion' released their first musical single titled 'The Day at the Lake'. From 2014-2018, Laura dedicated herself to her training and study as an actress and singer at LCM (London College of Music, an institution within the university of West London here in the UK). Obtaining a degree and a title as an actress and singer. In 2020, in the city of Valledupar she received the recognition and title of the guacharaca Cazcabel. Currently, they are recording their next musical single titled “IN THE BEGINNING”, it will be their third musical single with the feature group “PASSIDION”. It has been a journey of self-discovery and so many wonderful experiences that have been very useful to Laura in her professional life.
